Once again, I’ve been turned to an awesome book from one of the podcasts in my cycle. Adam Grant was on Art of Charm recently, and he discussed a few of the topics in his book called Originals, How Non-Conformists Move the World.
This book challenges many of the preconceived notions about successful and innovative people, often proving the opposite of what we generally assume to be true. For example, procrastinating is often seen as a flaw in planning and execution. Grant describes how allowing an idea to brew in your mind for longer actually gives you more time to think creatively about it before you fully commit. I’d recommend this read for anyone who is interested in challenging their perception of the journey to originality.
